If you're a hotel guests or call ahead to confirm lessons on a low tide day, hopefully your experience is better. However $120 later (US$) for round trip cab fare for our group, chairs and umbrellas we left without lessons nor with very hospitable consideration from the receptionist. That could have been suggested when my husband initially called or perhaps they could have called us knowing we were traveling from another hotel for lessons. Having never surfed nor taken lessons before we had no way of knowing we should confirm reservations that were only made two days prior. The receptionist told us that most people call to confirm their lessons before driving out. Since we did not know whether or not we'd have lessons, we were charged for chairs and umbrellas. If you pay for lessons the rental of chairs and umbrellas is complimentary. We'd have to wait a few hours to see if the tide improved. When we arrived we were told that due to high tide there may be no lessons today. After some research we made reservations for lessons at Cabo Surf Hotel. ![]() My husband and kids were interested in taking surf lessons.
